Google bids goodbye to a ‘cuckoo year’ with adorable doodle

Google marked the end of a tumultuous year, and got ready to ring in the new one with a doodle featuring a cuckoo clock. The doodle also shows the alphabets of Google wrapped in festive lights

Describing the last doodle of 2020, the tech giant said in a blog post, “It’s been a cuckoo year, but 2020’s clock is ticking. The countdown begins now, and when the clock strikes midnight a new year will spread its wings!”

On clicking on the doodle, users are greeted with a pop of confetti, as they land on the search result page for New Year’s Eve.

While NYE celebrations, just as everything else this year, will be muted due to the coronavirus pandemic, the day has become extra special for many who can’t wait for the year to end.
