Google Assistant is coming to Android Messages soon

NEW DELHI: Search giant Google has announced that it is bringing Google Assistant support to Android Messages. The users can now use the Google Assistant to send and read text messages.
If a user is using Google Assistant to text then a button will appear in the smart replies section of the app. In case the user tap on the button then it will ask the Assistant a question and will give option to put the answer directly into the text messages thread. For the time being the feature is limited only to English language.
In case you are worried that Google might end up reading your text messages then worry not . The company said that the information sent to Google servers is the text of the Google Assistant button that you tap. The suggestions generated by Google Assistant are based on the analysis of what’s there in the thread.
