Google, Apple get a lawsuit from Ubisoft for distributing a Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six ‘ripoff’
Ubisoft, the game developer that is in news these days for its forthcoming title, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, has slapped a lawsuit against two tech giants – Apple and Google. Why? Because the two firms apparently allowed the sale of a ‘Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six’ ripoff on their app stores. However, the two targets of the lawsuit are unusual since the ripoff title is said to have been developed by Qookka Games, the trading name of developer Ejoy, which was acquired by Alibaba in 2017.
Targeting Apple and Google might, however, help Ubisoft in preventing the sale of the title on digital platforms.
