Google announces new features for Pay and Assistant in India

Google India has announced a bunch of new features for its Google Pay and Assistant platforms. The search giant even revealed a new portal for those searching for entry-level jobs and the ability for 2G phone users to get access to Google Assistant. The company announced this at the fifth edition of its annual ‘Google for India’ event.
On Google Pay, it will be possible to easily search for entry-level jobs in the country. Called Jobs Spot, the new platform currently has 24 partners including 24Seven, HealthKart, Swiggy, Zomato, Dunzo, Fabhotels and more. The list is likely to expand in the coming months.
The company even introduced ‘Spot’ to make online shopping easier. This feature has also been introduced in Google Pay and lets businesses create ‘branded commercial experiences’ and pay for certain purchases directly from the app. Google event introduced Google Pay for Businesses alongside Tokenised cards for debit and credit card owners so that they don’t have to share their Visa card details every time for transactions.
