Gmail starts rolling out new material theme for Android users

NEW DELHI: Search giant Google has finally started rolling out the new material theme for its Gmail app. Presently, available for Android users, the new theme is much brighter and much cleaner as compared to the previous theme.
When Android users will open the Gmail app, then they will be greeted with message ‘Your favourite email has a fresh new look.’ The users will then be asked to select one of the three options — default, comfortable or compact. On the basis of the choice they make they will see the same, less or more emails in their inbox. Users can also change this setting in the future by going to the general app settings.
The new material design also brings new fonts, colourful shortcuts for composing mails, a redesigned menu and also a new way to switch between different Gmail accounts added in one device.
