Global smartphone sales fall to lowest in a decade: How Apple, Samsung and other brands performed
Global smartphone volumes sold in the third quarter of 2023 (Q3 2023) fell 8%, making it the ninth consecutive quarter to record a decline year-over-year (YoY) basis. However, on a quarter-over-quarter (QoQ) basis, the sell-through volumes grew 2%, a report said.
According to Counterpoint’s Market Pulse service, volumes declined YoY largely due to slower than expected recovery in consumer demand. However, the positive performance in September due to the sale of the new iPhones is seen as a sign of positive news ahead.
