Global smartphone revenues exceed $100 billion in Q3 despite declining shipments: Counterpoint

NEW DELHI: The global smartphone market fell 6% year-on-year in Q3 due to the ongoing global component shortages and the slow recovery of key markets such as China and Europe, however, the revenue exceeded the highest-ever mark of $100 billion driven by strong shipments of mid-to-high-end smartphones, Counterpoint Research said on Friday.

The market grew 6% quarter-on-quarter to 342 million units in Q3 2021, the firm said.
