Global PC market to grow by 8% in 2024, one in every five to be AI-capable: report

The global personal computer (PC) market is forecast to grow by 8% in 2024, with nearly one in five PC shipped being AI-capable, according to analysis by Canalys Press.

This indicates the industry is poised for recovery after seven consecutive quarters of decline, Canalys said in a note. As many as 267 million units in full-year shipments are expected in 2024 and the growth will be driven by the Windows refresh cycle and the emergence of AI-capable and Arm-based devices, it said.
