Global mobile network speeds increase by 17% in 2022: How it happened, ranked countries and more

Internet speed testing company Ookla recently shared a report detailing how fixed and mobile networks worldwide have started delivering faster speeds since 2021. According to a report by Ookla global mobile network, download speeds increased by 16.8% between November 2021 and November 2022 on average. Meanwhile, the report also claims that fixed broadband speeds have also jumped by 28% across the globe. As per the Ookla report, the global upload speeds on mobile networks have increased by 9%. On the other hand, the upload speed on wireline networks has gone up by almost 30%. Meanwhile, latency has been consistent at 10ms on fixed broadband networks.
