Gati Shakti National Master Plan provides boost to digital infrastructure: DIPA

NEW DELHI: The ‘Gati Shakti National Master Plan’ provides a major push to digital infrastructure and is highlu relevant to the telecom sector, said industry body Digital Infrastructure Providers Association (formerly TAIPA).

As per DIPA, the National Master Plan is significant for the telecom sector on various fronts such as a unified portal for approvals of infrastructure projects, cross-sector collaboration with utilities (water, gas, electricity, etc.) for sharing infrastructure, including common ducts, uniform policy in all states/UTs and central ministries/departments for Right of Way (RoW) permissions, availability of land/properties for deploying infrastructure, and sharing of infrastructure with other utilities by enhancing the scope of telecom infrastructure providers.
