Future Samsung foldable phones may come with multiple fitness features, patent reveals

Samsung foldable phones in future could come with similar health features as that of a fitness tracking device like a smart band or smartwatch. According to a report by LetsGoDigital, the company has received a patent to develop tech to measure blood pressure and other health indicators using a foldable phone.

As per the patent document, the foldable phone could be used to measure health metrics like blood pressure, vascular age, aortic pressure waveform, stress, fatigue levels, and more. It reveals that Samsung could use an inward folding display design similar to Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold 2 for the tech. The health sensors on such devices could be placed inside as well as outside the fold.
