Future Retail says will exercise available remedies in law in Amazon row
Hours after Supreme Court ruled in favour of e-commerce giant Amazon where it sought to block the Rs 24,731 crore merger deal of Future Retail (FRL) with Reliance Industries, FRL on Friday said it will “exercise available remedies in law”. The apex court rules that that Singapore’s Emergency Arbitrator (EA) award restraining the deal was valid and enforceable under Indian laws.
“FRL intends to pursue all available avenues to conclude the deal to protect the interests of its stakeholders and
workforce,” said the company in a stock exchange filing.
