From vaccines to black fungus, here’s how Google is adapting to India’s evolving searches in 2021

Last year, the novel coronavirus pandemic forced most of the world to remain indoors for several months. As a result, many of us were forced to change our habits, schedules and much more. Meanwhile, our online searches have also adapted with the changing times, with requests for local news stories related to the coronavirus, vaccines – even medical complications like mucormycosis (also known as the black fungus) have seen a rise, according to a new report.

The rise in the number of searches related to the coronavirus pandemic and previously mentioned diseases that are connected with it also saw a “manifold” rise this year,
