French national held for carrying satellite phone at IGI Airport

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has apprehended a French national on Sunday at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport for allegedly carrying a satellite phone, which is banned under the law, in his luggage.

According to a senior CISF official, the man identified as Pierre L Bouihol, was intercepted during frisking at the Delhi airport at about 3 am on Sunday as he was about to take a flight to Leh in Jammu and Kashmir.

The man was handed over to the Delhi Police by CISF as carrying a satellite phone is banned under law.
