Fraudulent transaction complaints registration with consumer helpline dip to 5,496: MoS IT
New Delhi: Fraudulent transaction complaints registered with the national consumer helpline has dipped by about 72 per cent to 5,496 in 2021-22, according to data shared with Parliament on Friday. Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar in his written reply to Rajya Sabha informed that there were 19,998 grievances regarding fraudulent transactions registered with the national consumer helpline.
“The National Consumer Helpline is funded under a scheme of the Department of Consumer Affairs. Consumers across the country can register their grievances with the National Consumer Helpline,” the minister said.
