Foxconn, Flex, Apple, Samsung, other phone makers seek assurance on export incentives

New Delhi: Major electronics manufacturers such as Foxconn, Flex, Apple, and Samsung have urged the government to swiftly execute a new export incentives scheme to replace the existing one, for ending the uncertainty engendered by a recent World Trade Organisation ruling.

At a recent meeting with official think tank Niti Aayog, the companies gave views on how to make India a preferred choice for exports manufacturing, while seeking assurances on continuity of export promotion schemes.
