Four arrested for selling sim cards on fake Aadhaar cards

Ahmedabad: Acting on information from the department of telecommunication (DoT) of Gujarat, CID Crime officers arrested four men from Morbi district on May 28 for allegedly selling sim cards based on forged Aadhaar cards, said officers on Tuesday.

DoT Director Sumit Mishra said that the field units of Department of Telecommunications – Licensed Service Area (LSA) carry out monthly sample audit of the application forms submitted by subscribers to telecom service providers to obtain mobile connections.
