Flipkart to promote under-resourced sellers, artisans, weavers in Punjab

Handmade phulkari, punjabi juttis, and other handicrafts from culturally-rich state of Punjab would soon be available on the e-commerce portal Flipkart. For, the Flipkart and Punjab Government on Thursday joined hands to take on board the state’s “under-resourced” sellers, artisans and weavers to Flipkart through its ‘Samarth’ initiative.

On the first day of the Progressive Punjab Investment Summit-2019, Flipkart signed two memorandum of understandings with the Punjab Government to increase business and trade inclusion opportunities for MSMEs in the state.

Under the ‘Samarth’ initiative, the Punjab’s sellers will be brought into the e-commerce fold and provided national market access, training and support to grow their businesses.
