Flipkart, Amazon dominate IIM-A Cluster-2 placements

At the Cluster 2 of the Final Placements of the PGP Batch of 2019 at the Indian Institute of Management – Ahmedabad (IIM-A), Flipkart emerged as the top recruiter with 14 offers (including pre-placement offers), followed by Amazon with 11, heading a list of several offline and online retail players and agri-focussed companies.

Held on Monday, the Cluster 2 saw regular recruiters such as AB InBev, Asian Paints, HUL, General Mills, ITC, Mondeléz, Nestlé, P&G, Reckitt Benckiser and Samsung, besides Amazon and Flipkart.

The second cluster had six cohorts – Advertising & Media, Consumer Goods, Consumer Services, Consumer Electronics, General Management and Leadership, Retail B2B & B2C.

For its placement process, IIM-A follows a cluster-based system, where sectors are invited in cohorts. The first cluster took place on February 8.
