Flagship smartphones with Dimensity 9000+ 5G chipset to release in 3Q22: MediaTek
NEW DELHI: Taiwanese fabless chipmaker MediaTek Wednesday launched the Dimensity 9000+ system-on-chip (SoC), the successor to Dimensity 9000 released in December 2021, with support for sub-6GHz 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E.
MediaTek said flagship smartphones powered by the Dimensity 9000+ chipset will be released in the third quarter (Q3) of 2022.
The octa-core Dimensity 9000+ integrates Armv9 CPU architecture with a 4nm process, combining one ultra Cortex-X2 core at up to 3.2GHz with three super Cortex-A710 cores and four efficiency Cortex-A510 cores.
The integrated LPDDR5X supports 8MB L3 CPU cache and 6MB of system cache. Additionally, the chipset integrates MediaTek’s fifth-generation Application Processor Unit (APU 5.0) for AI computing capabilities.
