Fire breaks out at MTNL’s Bandra office; about 100 feared trapped

NEW DELHI: A major fire broke out at the Mumbai office of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) on Monday where 100 people are reportedly trapped in the upper storeys of the ten-storey building.

According to media reports, four fire tenders were rushed to the spot in the first batch to control the fire. Firefighters were able to rescue many people from inside, however some rushed to the roof in a state of panic.

The fire is said to have spread through the 3rd and the 4th floor of the building. No casualties have been reported till the filing time of this story.
