Fiber networking gear maker Adtran to slash headcount under cost efficiency program

NEW DELHI: US-based fiber networking gear maker Adtran is planning a reduction in its global headcount as part of a cost efficiency program, its Chief Financial Officer Ulrich Dopfer said.

“The key initiatives of the (cost efficiency) program are global workforce reduction, site consolidation, including partial sale of owned real estate, which will reduce operating costs and increase efficiency and then accelerated end of life of certain products,” Dopfer said at the company’s post-earnings call.
