Fake call centre cheating Americans busted

Cyber crime team of the Gurugram police on Wednesday busted an illegal call centre operating in Sector-45 in Gurugram.

The call centre mostly used to cheat US nationals on the pretext of Amazon security support service, the police said on Wednesday. The culprits were duping the US national since January 2020. While duping their clients, they used to introduce themselves as service provider of the company.

According to the police, a team of thr cyber crime police station led by ACP (DLF) Karan Goyal, raided the call centre which was located at plot number 210-A, Sector-45 in Gurugram following a tip-off.

During the raid, the police arrested two persons in connection with the matter and seized 2 mobile phones along with other electronic gadgets.
