Fake call centre busted, two held

Two people were arrested after the police busted a fake call centre which was running in the CO-office on the eighth floor in Magnum Tower-I, Sector-58, Gurugram on Thursday.

The duo allegedly duped people on the pretext of providing online short term loans via a web portal and app named ‘Mayacash’ of `2,000, 3,000 and 5,000 the police said on Friday.

The police recovered 1 laptop and 2 mobile phones were being used to execute the crime.

The arrested accused were identified as Sanjay Kumar Faridabad and Bharat a resident of Charkhi Dadri district of Haryana.

Following secret information, a team of the cybercrime police station raided the spot and took the custody of the criminals.
