Facebook urged to stop sale of recalled Boppy loungers

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission asked Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Tuesday to stop the sale of recalled Boppy loungers on Facebook Marketplace. It came after two more children had died since the Boppy Newborn Lounger was recalled in 2021.

In a letter written to Zuckerberg, the federal safety regulators warned, “By allowing such products to be posted, you are putting Facebook Marketplace users at risk.”

The commissioners added that Facebook appears to have blocked the ability to search for certain terms related to Rock ‘n Play, “but it has not eliminated the power to search such products.”
