Facebook Messenger may get this important WhatsApp feature

One of the critical and perhaps most important feature in WhatsApp is end-to-end encryption of messages and calls. A new report now suggests that this feature may soon arrive on Facebook Messenger. Security researcher Jane Manchun Wong has posted a tweet where she revealed that Facebook is testing an audio/video call feature in Messenger’s Secret Conversations. As of now Messenger as such doesn’t have end-to-end encryption but if users want to chat more securely they can use the Secret Conversation feature. It looks like it’s now reportedly testing a video and audio call feature in Messenger as well.
While users have the option to make calls using Messenger, the feature isn’t there in Secret Conversation. There is no word of confirmation from Facebook on whether the feature will be rolled out and how it will work.
Facebook, meanwhile, had been in news because of its CEO being asked to appear in front of the US Congress.
