Facebook Messenger gets WhatsApp-like feature in conversations

NEW DELHI: The social networking giant Facebook is said to be working on a new feature for its Messenger app. As reported by VentureBeat, Facebook might soon incorporate ‘quote and reply’ feature in the Messenger app.
This feature will enable the users to quote and reply to particular messages in a conversation. The similar kind of feature is already present in Facebook-owned WhatsApp. In order to use the feature, the users have to long-press on the text to which they wish to reply and then tap on the ‘reply’ icon.
The feature works on all kinds of messages including GIFs, videos, emoji, text and photo messages.
Last moth, Facebook introduced the unsend feature to its Messenger app. Using the feature users are able to delete any unwanted message which they have sent by mistake. To recall a message sent on Facebook Messenger, users will get a window of 10 minutes.
