Facebook may soon not allow you to forward a message to more than five friends
With the widespread outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus), tech giants — including Google, Apple, Facebook and others — have been working together to stop misinformation related to this global pandemic from spreading.
World’s biggest social networking giant Facebook has been quite prompt when it comes to its actions in tackling the worldwide health crisis and its latest effort seems to be limiting the number of people you will be able to forward messages to on its Messenger platform.
This has been found by reverse software engineer Jane Manchun Wong who posted a small clip-on Twitter to show that the Messenger platform will forbid the user to send a message to more than five users. “Facebook Messenger is working on limiting the amount of threads a message can be forwarded at a time, in order to add frictions on misinformation,” reads Wong’s tweet.
