Facebook, Instagram to have a No Smoking, No Drinking ‘sign’

Social networking platform Facebook is all set to implement a new policy on its platform — as well as on its photo-sharing platform Instagram — which will restrict the content related to alcohol and tobacco products, according to a report by CNN.
The report, which quotes a company spokeswoman, says that this policy will “prohibit all private sales, trades, transfers and gifting of alcohol and tobacco products on Facebook and Instagram.” The accounts that do post content related to this will have to limit that content to adults 18 or older. However, both Facebook and Instagram will allow users, including those under 18, to post other content related to tobacco and vape products.
Facebook will “use a combination of technology, human review and reports from our community to find and remove any content that violates these policies,” the spokeswoman said to CNN.
