Meta, which thrives on ads, may soon have to do away with the requirement for users to accept personalised ads, as per a recent ruling from privacy regulators of the EU, reports The Washington Journal.
The said ruling, passed by a board representing all EU privacy regulators, has not yet been disclosed to the public. But The Washington Journal sources familiar with the decision say that the panel asks Ireland’s Data Protection Commission to force public order reflecting their decision and levying heavy fines on Meta.
