EU extends decision deadline on Orange, MasMovil deal to February 22

BRUSSELS: EU antitrust regulators have extended the deadline for their decision on French telecoms group Orange and Spanish rival MasMovil’s tie-up in Spain to Feb. 22, according to an update on the European Commission’s merger website.

The previous deadline was Feb. 15.

The EU competition enforcer usually extends deadlines while waiting for companies to provide requested information.
