EU charges Google

The European Commission (EC) has accused Google of abusing its dominance of the online advertising market and recommended the company to sell part of its ad services to ensure fair competition. The Commission set out its charges, two years after it opened an investigation into the case. If the commission maintains its view after that, it could levy a fine of up to 10 per cent of Google’s annual global revenues.
