Ericsson, Vodafone demonstrate live 5G SA network slicing for cloud gaming

NEW DELHI: Swedish telecom gear maker Ericsson and Britain’s Vodafone have successfully demonstrated a live 5G standalone (SA) network slicing trial for cloud gaming at the Coventry University.

Ericsson and Vodafone Monday claimed that the trial participants were able to experience more consistent gaming connectivity with a 270% increase in throughput, a 25% decrease in latency and 57% less jitter, as well as smoother graphics rendering.
