NEW DELHI: Swedish telecoms gear maker Ericsson and chipmaker Qualcomm said they have successfully completed interoperability tests for 5G standalone carrier aggregation across both FDD/TDD and TDD/TDD bands.
The two companies completed the tests at Ericsson’s lab in Beijing, China. The connection used for testing is claimed to have reached peak speeds of 2.5Gbps by aggregating 100MHz and 60MHz within the 2.5GHz (n41) TDD band using 4×4 MIMO and a 70% downlink.
