Ericsson elevates Nicolas Blixell as VP & Head of GCC

NEW DELHI: Swedish telecom equipment maker Ericsson has elevated Nicolas Blixell as the Vice President and Head of the Gulf Council Countries (GCC), effective from July 20.

“As part of his role, Nicolas Blixell will be responsible for the GCC excluding Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is a separate market at Ericsson,” the company said in a statement.

Prior to the new appointment, Blixell was the Vice President and Head of Global Customer Unit for MTN Group at Ericsson Middle East and Africa. In 2020 he was also appointed Chairperson of the Board of several key countries providing leadership and guidance to Ericsson executives and employees.
