Ericsson bags 5G network deployment deal from VodafoneZiggo
NEW DELHI: Swedish telecom gear maker Ericsson today said it has bagged a 5G network launch deal from Dutch telecom service provider VodafoneZiggo. Ericsson said it will launch 5G using its Spectrum Sharing and 5G Core technologies.
The Spectrum Sharing, which is a part of GigaNet strategy, will enable VodafoneZiggo to deliver improved user experience to its customers, Ericsson said.
By deploying Ericsson Spectrum Sharing, VodafoneZiggo can quickly introduce 5G over a wide area, using existing frequency bands and existing Ericsson Radio System equipment, the telecom gear maker said.
