Elon Musk’s SpaceX faces US lawsuit for hiring discrimination

Elon Musk-led space exploration firm SpaceX is reportedly facing a lawsuit from the US Department of Justice. The lawsuit alleges that the rocket and satellite-making company has discriminated against asylum recipients and refugees while hiring.

In a statement, the Justice Department said: “The lawsuit alleges that, from at least September 2018 to May 2022, SpaceX routinely discouraged asylees and refugees from applying and refused to hire or consider them, because of their citizenship status, in violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act,”
