Elon Musk meets Twitter’s software developers, reportedly planning more job cuts

Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover went through a tumultuous start as the company owning the micro-blogging site witnessed multiple policies and personnel changes in the last few weeks. After acquiring the company, the Tesla CEO laid off almost half of Twitter’s workforce. Later, he asked the remaining employees to increase productivity by putting in longer hours at work and dismissed the company’s permanent work-from-home policy. Musk’s new ‘productivity’ policies created chaos on Twitter as thousands of employees opted for voluntary resignation and the company had to keep its offices closed for the weekend. During the weekend, Twitter’s new owner met with the company’s software engineers and is reportedly planning to cut more jobs in the sales division.

Recently, Elon Musk issued an urgent call to meet Twitter’s software developers, a day after the mass resignation wave swept through the company. Musk sent an email to the employees building software for Twitter and requested them to visit the company’s San Francisco office in person.
