Elon Musk fires Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal: How it started, how it ended

Its official Twitter is now an Elon Musk company. The Tesla CEO has added the microblogging website to his business empire after months of dilly dallying and legal tussle. He walked into Twitter’s headquarters on Wednesday (October 27) with a big grin and a porcelain sink, subsequently tweeting “let that sink in.” He changed his Twitter profile description to “Chief Twit” — making it loud and clear that he is the new head of Twitter.

Just hours after the Chief Twit took over, he fired Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal and legal affairs and policy chief Vijaya Gadde, according to people familiar with the matter. Agrawal and Segal were in Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters when the deal closed and were escorted out, the sources added. Musk and Agrawal didn’t share the best of relationship. The two have taken potshots at each other. While Musk quite openly, Agrawal not so directly.
