Edtech startup Skill-Lync raises $17.5 million

CHENNAI: Engineering education focused startup Skill-Lync has raised $17.5 million in a Series A round, led by venture investor Iron Pillar. Existing investors Y Combinator and Better Capital also participated in this funding round. In addition, Binny Bansal (co-founder of Flipkart), Sai Krishnamurthy (co-founder of Xto10X) and Rashmi Kwatra (founder of Sixteenth Street Capital) also joined as new investors.

With this round, Skill Lync has raised a total of $20 million across Seed and Series A funding. The capital will be used for increasing the number of courses offered by Skill-Lync, build its management team and expand the business to international markets. The startup will also double down on developing corporate partnerships to understand future talent requirements and build a high-end engineering team.
