EdgeQ raises $51 million in funding to blend 5G, AI on a single chip
NEW DELHI: EdgeQ, a 5G system-on-a-chip (SoC) company, debuted on Tuesday with $51 million in total funding, including $38,5 million in Series A round, with an aim to tap into the 5G infrastructure market as the first company to unify 5G connectivity and AI compute in an open and programmable platform to drive Edge networks.
“By unifying 5G and AI at the nearest focal point of data at the edge, EdgeQ will allow enterprises (in manufacturing, construction, energy, automotive, warehousing, surveillance, telco, and other verticals) to harness private networking for disruptive applications, intelligent services, and new business models,” the company said in a statement.
