NEW DELHI: The government might be gung-ho about 5G spectrum auction but a closer look will depict the reality. A 5G ecosystem with mass use cases is yet to be developed and lack of infrastructure which along with a high spectrum price and financial constraints of telecom players will make it a difficult road to be travelled.
Keeping aside the financial issues, the telecom operators are focusing on ramping up 4G network across India to cash in on the increasing data consumption.
