E-learning drive for tribal students from today
Even as private and public schools across the State are switching over to the online mode of teaching during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Government would introduce an alternative learning and mentorship programme for tribal students from Monday.
About six lakh students belonging to the Scheduled Caste and the Scheduled Tribe communities would be benefited from the initiative, said ST/SC Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare Department Secretary Ranjana Chopra.
The programme would be launched to cater to the educational needs of these students from Classes-II to X in as many as 1,731 residential schools, she informed, adding that a detailed strategy in this regard has been developed in consultation with civil society organisations.
