DoT sets up war room for Ram Temple event, to use AI for seamless network

NEW DELHI: The telecom department is using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to help telecom operators provide seamless connectivity experience during the inauguration of the Ram Temple at Ayodhya later this month.

Officials told ET that the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is carrying out predictive analysis based on the number of people who would come for the consecration ceremony on January 22, to tell telcos how many more mobile sites are needed and which technology–2G, 4G or 5G–should be on offer.
