DoT mulling to allow spectrum sharing across all bands: Report

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) may be looking to liberalize spectrum sharing guidelines and allow telecom operators to share spectrum across all bands, Financial Express reported citing sources aware of the matter.

The liberalized guidelines may come up before the spectrum auctions expected to be held next year, the report added.

Currently, sharing is allowed only if telecom operators hold airwaves in a certain band, say, the 900MHz or 2500MHz band.
