‘Don’t download Aarogya app from malicious links’

The Commissionerate police on Wednesday warned people not to download the Aarogya Setu app from malicious links forwarded through SMS or WhatsApp.

People have been advised to download the Aarogya Setu app only from authentic sources like https://Mygov.in Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

“Some users are receiving an SMS or WhatsApp or a link from friends to download AarogyaSetu App. Please do not click on the link to download. Delete any such link, if already downloaded, go for factory re-set of mobile phone,” said police.

These links are malicious and leading to download of an App called ChatMe on the screen, which is being used by Pakistan-based groups to steal data
