Domestic IT spending to decline by 8%: Gartner

Here’s a piece of bad news for the information technology industry. The industry in the country is projected to decline by 8.1 per cent this year as businesses and organisations are expected to be prudent in their spending in the times of a global crisis.

Spending on devices and data centre systems in the country are going to witness steepest declines yet in 2020.

Research firm Gartner has pegged the IT spending in the country at $83.5 billion, showing a decline of 8.1 per cent in 2020.
