Digital news channel owner arrested for extorting money
Delhi Police has arrested a 37-year-old digital news channel owner for allegedly extorting money from an advocate in south Delhi’s Greater Kailash area. Police said that the accused along with his associate first used to do a sting operation and later used to demand ransom money
The accused has been identified as Afsar Ali, a resident of Noida Sector-78. According to Atul Kumar Thakur, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South district, an advocate, a resident of Greater Kailash, lodged a complaint where it was alleged that some persons on behalf of a digital news channel conducted a sting operation on him.
