Despite demand, broadband connections decline

Ahmedabad: With the imposition of lockdown, the demand for broadband connections went up significantly as people began working from home. However, despite a surge in demand, the net additions of broadband connections showed a decline of 50,909 connections in April in Gujarat, according to the latest report by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). The number of connections went down from 10 lakh in March to 9.49 lakh in April.
