Delhi high court to hear pleas on selection process bias for TCIL chief

NEW DELHI: The Delhi high court will hear the petitions filed by two disgruntled officials on September 3 against the ‘flawed selection process’ adopted by the Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) for the appoinment of the chairman of the state-run Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL), an engineering and consultancy firm.

Following the interview process conducted on August 18, the board represented by top Department of Telecommunications (DoT) officials handpicked Sanjeev Kumar, who has been working as a director (Technical) at MTNL since February 2016.
